Rain Rain Go Away, don’t come back!

Well becuase I absolutely dread riding in the rain, I decided to pull out the indoor trainer.  Todays brick was 1 hour 15 minute brick at high aerobic (I forgot how much more work you have to do on a trainer), and 30 minute run at high aerobic.  I also am experimenting with race nutrition, so 10 minutes prior I took a hammer gel, and drank 24 ounces of water with 2 scoops of cytomax over the first hour of the ride.  I also ate a cliff bar at the hour mark.  I kept Hr at 145 which is not necessarily high aerobic but at least mid aerobic.  Off the bike I drank 6 ounces of water, at hit the run.    My run felt great off the bike.  I held a 6:58/ mile average over 30 minutes keeping my HR under 170.   The best part is that the run felt effortless, and I really felt like I was running with my core rather than my legs.  Energy level was good.
