This is not my race report, but a quick summary of my trip and my accoplishments. I could not be happier! My 20 weeks of hard work payed off more than I could have imagined.
I had a great race! My coaches pacing plan and race nutrition plan were exactly spot on to give me the best race I could have. I pushed my myself further than I ever have in my life, and that felt great. I don’t think I left anything on the table and am sure that I could not have run a 1/4 of a mile more. My goal time for the race was 5 hours, and i came in at 4:44:07, which earned me a slot in the Ironman 70.3 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS, in Clearwater Florida on November 10th. This was I goal I had set to accoplish next season.
I cannot believe that just less than one year ago I did my first triathlon, and now I am going to compete in the World championships.
I have to give props to my wife. Elee has been the most wonderful and supportive person in the world, and I could not even begin to dream about this without her.
